May noght make my sorwes slyde,
Nought the remedies of Ovyde;
Ne Orpheus, god of melodye,

Y-worthe worste of alle wightes,

The pure deeth is so my fo,
[Thogh] I wolde deye, hit wolde not so;

This is my peyne withoute reed,
Alway deying, and be not deed,
That Sesiphus, that lyth in helle,
